This is a lovely miniature crystal cluster of smoky quartz, intergrown with peach-cream colored microcline feldspar. These crystals have grown in an aesthetic slanted arrangement, displaying beautiful composition. The vertical crystals have clean terminations, and a beautiful deep smoky color! This unique specimen is perfect for anyone from novice to serious mineral specimen collector--it would also be excellent for use during meditation or crystal gridding. This specimen comes from the Park County area, Colorado. This well-known locality is known for its goethite, hematite, smoky quartz, and microcline feldspar. It is found in a multitude of colors, growth habits, and localities. Smoky Quartz is known for its color, ranging from pale brown to nearly black. The smoky shade is a result of exposure to natural sources of radiation. Microcline is a feldspar variety found all over the world--the most well-known variety is Amazonite (blue-green Microcline). HEALING PROPERTIES: Smoky quartz is extremely grounding, and is associated with the root chakra. Smoky quartz is believed to help ease the transition between different phases of life, and enhance manifestation.
