Own a striking piece of Colorado mineralogy! This is a lovely miniature crystal cluster of smoky quartz, intergrown with peach-cream colored microcline feldspar. These crystals have grown in an aesthetic slanted arrangement, displaying beautiful composition. The vertical crystals have clean terminations, and a beautiful deep smoky color! This unique specimen is perfect for anyone from novice to serious mineral specimen collector--it would also be excellent for use during meditation or crystal gridding.
This specimen comes from the Park County area, Colorado. This well-known locality is known for its goethite, hematite, smoky quartz, and microcline feldspar.

FORMATION:
Quartz is a silicate mineral, and is one of the most abundant minerals on the planet. It is found in a multitude of colors, growth habits, and localities. Smoky Quartz is known for its color, ranging from pale brown to nearly black. The smoky shade is a result of exposure to natural sources of radiation. Microcline is a feldspar variety found all over the world--the most well-known variety is Amazonite (blue-green Microcline).
HEALING PROPERTIES:
Smoky quartz is extremely grounding, and is associated with the root chakra. Smoky quartz is believed to help ease the transition between different phases of life, and enhance manifestation. It is also thought to lighten emotional burdens, and offer access to information from other dimensions.
