*The Rogerley Mine is not currently producing specimens, but similar specimens are coming from the nearby Diana Maria Mine. Specimens from this area are ever increasing in value and rarity.*
This fabulous fluorite is as rare as it is beautiful: daylight fluorescent green fluorite from the Rogerley mine, England. When viewed indoors, it is a lovely deep shade of emerald green. (Several of the pictures show indoor lighting, and the cluster's green shade in that light.) But the real magic is seen under sunlight: the fluorite is so fluorescent that it changes color in the sun, becoming a subtle indigo color on the edges alongside the green shade. Under a blacklight, the cluster glows with amazing electric blue brightness! See second and third photos for this reaction. This particular cluster features cubes of varying size and levels of perfection, saturated green color, weathering and oxidation, and secondary metallic inclusions which may be Galena.
Fluorite is always lovely, but these color-change pieces are truly a collector's dream. Very difficult to find, but certainly worth the hunt!

Healing Properties: Fluorite is often called the "psychic vacuum cleaner", and is believed to clear negative energy from one's surroundings. It is also a stone of mental focus and clarity--well suited for students and teachers. Green fluorite in particular is believed to open the heart chakra, providing emotional healing and cleansing trauma from the emotional body.
