This is a lovely and organic looking cluster of purple fluorite cubes and iron stained quartz from a famous American locality. The specimen is from the “SOB” Claim, Blanchard Mine, Bingham, NM—known for its beautiful blue and purple fluorite, which often features matte crystals and rich colors. The faces of these miniature cubes are naturally unpolished and matte textured, with lovely rich purple hues, golden iron, and soft rough edges. Abrasions and naturally raw features have not been polished or shaped out. The color is a unique purple, perched on a golden iron-stained quartz matrix! (Blue fluorite is more uncommon than other colors, but purple is a less common color for Blanchard Mine specifically.) This neat cluster would make an excellent addition to any mineral collection, and is the perfect size for meditation and display!

Bingham, NM, has yielded some of the most beautiful blue and purple fluorite in the world. The aptly-named “Bingham Blue” shade is a distinctive signature of this classic American locality—the fluorite often features purple zones as well. This piece is an unusual dark purple hue.
Fluorite is a halide mineral, which forms in many colors and growth habits. It has been known to fluoresce brightly, although some specimens are basically inert under blacklight. American fluorite localities have produced some of the most collectable fluorite specimens in the world!
Healing Properties: Fluorite is often called the "psychic vacuum cleaner", and is believed to clear negative energy from one's surroundings. It is also a stone of mental focus and clarity--well suited for students and teachers. Purple fluorite is associated with the crown chakra, with spiritual guidance and higher self.
