This is a super unique material from a new find in the Congo! This is a gorgeous unpolished specimen of chrysocolla, a bright turquoise blue mineral, covered by sparkly outer layers of quartz. The druzy quartz, giving it a sparkly appearance, as if it’s coated in sugar crystals! It has grown in a curved cluster. There are also small pops of green color, in the form of malachite—the bright green accents add great color contrast to this cluster! The color contrast looks like gorgeous sparkly cotton candy. Truly a wonderful specimen to display, admire, and work with energetically. This raw specimen has beautiful color contrast and a very striking visual impact, with tons of glam! This piece is a small hand or shelf specimen, and would make a handsome addition to any mineral buff's specimen collection. It would also be appropriate for meditation or ritual.

Chrysocolla is a copper-bearing silicate mineral that forms in copper deposits, in association with minerals such as malachite, azurite, and cuprite. It can be confused with turquoise. Quartz over Chrysocolla is sometimes called gem silica, but it’s more proper to call it druzy chrysocolla. Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral, which is always green. It forms in association with other copper-bearing minerals. It is known for its amazingly graphic forms, which include fibrous (as delicate fibers) and botryoidal (globular clusters). It is a classic African mineral.
HEALING: Chrysocolla enhances communication, gentleness, and feminine power. It is associated with water and earth elements, and is believed to foster connection to nature. Malachite is associated with enlightened decision making, leadership, and creativity.
